Film Edits

As much as I LOVEEE the look of film photography, it’s always kind of intimidated me. For one, I can’t see the image right away—which can feel risky when you’re shooting once-in-a-lifetime moments. Two, there’s no 100% guarantee the photo will turn out exactly how I hope, especially with all the variables in film development. And lastly, weddings move so fast. I never want to feel torn between using my film camera or my Sony that captures every moment sharply and reliably.

So I started thinking…“What if I just edited some of my digital photos with that dreamy film look?”

That way, my couples still get those nostalgic, filmy vibes—without sacrificing any of the moments or clarity. They get both versions of the same photo. I don’t miss anything, and selfishly... it saves us both money on film + developing costs. I’m not against film photography at ALL. Actually, I’m obsessed with it. This just felt like the perfect “shortcut” to give my couples the best of both worlds!
